About Us
The Basin Burnout’s main purpose is to honor our military heroes for their sacrifice. In 2023, the PBADD, through the Basin Burnout, raised over $200,000 for local and national veteran-based charities and we anticipate 2024 to surpass this number!
The Basin Burnout is an all-day BBQ Cook-Off and Music Festival, headlined this year by Grammy award-winning songwriter Scott Stapp, The Voice of Creed.
The 2024 Basin Burnout will be held at a new venue, the Centennial Park. This “must visit” landmark of Midland and West Texas provides a premier green space and gathering place in downtown. The Burnout continues to focus on providing something for all; kid-friendly activities, live entertainment, and Permian’s best amateur BBQ and plenty of opportunities to network for all our sponsors and cooking teams.

General Admission tickets include complimentary BBQ samples from all cooking teams, live music throughout the day, and access to kids’ activities area with face painting & bounce houses. Free admission for children under 10 years old.

The Permian Basin Association of Directional Drilling (PBADD) is a nonprofit organization created by oil and gas industry professionals for oil and gas industry professionals. The PBADD provides an avenue or platform for the exchange of industry specific knowledge and new ideas that aid in the advancement of the directional drilling industry. Bringing oil and gas operators and oilfield service providers together in a collaborative and professional manner to enhance all aspects of the drilling services industry in the Permian Basin of Texas.
