Grant Requests
Basin BuRNout
Supporting Organizations That Serve Veterans
The Basin Burnout Foundation exists to support organizations that are actively improving the lives of veterans and their families. Through funds raised at our annual Basin Burnout event and related initiatives, we provide direct financial support to nonprofit organizations working to deliver meaningful resources, care, and opportunities for those who have served our country.
Each year, thousands gather for Basin Burnout all in support of veteran-focused causes. What began as a local cook-off has grown into a signature Permian Basin event that generates significant funding for nonprofits serving veterans across the region and beyond.
Through the Basin Burnout Foundation, these funds are distributed to organizations that are making a real impact in the veteran community.
Who Should Apply
The Basin Burnout Foundation welcomes grant requests from nonprofit organizations that directly support veterans and their families. This may include programs focused on areas such as:
- Veteran mental health and wellness
- Transition support for veterans entering civilian life
- Housing assistance and stability programs
- Career development and workforce training
- Family support services for military families
- Physical rehabilitation and recovery programs
- Community engagement and veteran recognition initiatives
Organizations must demonstrate a clear mission aligned with supporting veterans and show measurable impact through their programs.
Grant Process
Grant requests are reviewed by the Basin Burnout Foundation board. Funding decisions are based on several factors, including:
- Alignment with the Foundation’s mission
- Demonstrated impact for veterans
- Organizational accountability and transparency
- Community benefit and reach
Due to the number of requests received each year, submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
